How do I enable the Line Preference feature on my Comdial Impact 8324SJ-FB Office Telephone?

I want to be able to answer my phone just by picking up the handset, without pushing the button to select the line first. I know it can be done because another phone in our office is set up that way.

I can tell you generally how to do it, but not exactly in a free forum. Go into system programming and dial 53 09 your station and **.

If you dial the wrong extension, you’ll turn off RLP to that phone. If you dial any other code, you run the risk of turning the box into a paperweight. Don’t mess with anything else unless you have a manual.
