What to wear or say – I’ve been asked to a second interview and tour, after a phone interview to a panel of 3.

I’ve been short listed after a telephone interview – now they want to fly me to the plant for a tour and a final interview.

I agree, go with business attire, smart suit, nice tie/shirt, stay conservative (ie not loud colours) make sure your presentation is clean ie shaven, hair neat, and above all be confident (not to the point of arrogance, but dont be nervous, or show that you are, thats a big no-no) Also think of some examples of situations you have been in before where you have demonstrated leadership, initiative, problem resolution etc, as they will most likely ask, and want any scenarios from your previous job history.

Research the company and the role you are going for, and one tip – ask questions, make sure you have a few questions to ask the recruiter/HR person, such as is there any information they can provide you to get to know the company better, whether there is any provision for further study later on down the track even, and dont iniate in money conversation, remember its for the love of the job

Remember you are selling yourself, so boast, why not, once again not to arrogance, but you are your own sales brochure..good luck!
