Is it necessary to use pressure-treated wood for the sole plate when framing a wall on top of tile?

We’re finishing part of our basement. I (now) realize that it’s normally required to use pressure-treated wood when framing walls on top of concrete. However, in our situation, the concrete has been tiled over. We kinda jumped the gun and began framing walls without using pressure-treated wood for the sole plates. Is this something that needs to be changed? We figured that, technically, the framing isn’t directly on top of the concrete.

Doesn’t sound like you are building any structural wall and they are not located on the slab of the main structure. If these are just walls to sub-divide the room then you shouldn’t have any problems. Good luck with your project.
